My client has a great opportunity to make an impact in the Neuropharmacology field.  They are looking for a Scientist in the Behavioral Pharmacology group to take on the following tasks:
  • Design and perform experiments (with a focus on traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries and PTSD)
  • Effectively document results, perform data analysis, and write reports.
  • Conduct surgeries, handling, dosing (IV, SC, IP, and PO), pharmacology, tissue dissections and testing.
  • Write grants to support trauma research efforts.
  • Train and direct scientists as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports, and contribute to manuscript preparation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
  • PhD degree in neuropharmacology or relevant fields.
  • Hands-on experience in rodent trauma research including spinal cord injury, PTSD and traumatic brain injury.
  • Surgery, handling, dosing (IV, SC, IP, and PO), pharmacology, tissue dissections and testing.
  • Histological skills are preferred.
  • Able to design experiments, effectively document results, analyze data, and write reports.
  • Management experience is required, as well as superior communication skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment is a must.
