SEEKING an EXPERIENCED BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN (BMET) INFORMATION SYSTEM SPECIALIST  (compensation depends on experience level).

Under general supervision, provides top-level technical expertise in the repair, testing, calibrating and maintenance of a variety of medical and electronic equipment and analyzes, designs, develops and implements enterprise-wide computer systems and supportive documentation.  Uses an advanced application of concepts and techniques with a high degree of system and problem complexity.

MUST HAVE a minimum of an Bachelor's Degree;
MUST HAVE Strong communications skills; Project Management skills; Good customer service skills;
MUST BE Able to coordinate troubleshooting between IT and Biomed, including the creation of guides and work flows
Req Cert/Registration     CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician) certification required within first twelve months of hire

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Enhances organizational and communications skills in order to provide project leadership.
Enhances technical knowledge of all phases of application systems analysis and design.
Provides trouble-shooting and problem solving skills to implement and maintain complex computer systems
Interacts with customers and vendors through all phases of installation of departmental and enterprise-wide systems
Performs preventative maintenance inspections and electrical safety testing and corrects problems encountered
Analyzes electronic equipment for cause(s) of failure; isolates, tests, and replaces defective parts
Uses available test equipment to test functioning of all medical equipment; troubleshoots functioning problems and repairs medical devices.
Makes necessary operational adjustments to electronic equipment and takes sensitivity, selectivity, and accuracy measurements.
Responds to emergency calls from critical care areas; troubleshoots equipment problems and repairs hardware as needed.

Working environment is free of hazards and unpleasant conditions. Work requires minimal physical exertion. Lifts and carries medical equipment.
